219 There Will be Times When You Beg Me to Kiss You
Lin Jiao carried breakfast to the planning department and was called to the office before she could turn on the computer at her desk.
Six new faces appeared in the office.
They were newbies who came to report today. Zheng Yi assigned two of them to the fifth group, and the rest were assigned to the sixth group.
Lin Jiao led the two newbies out.
After introducing herself, she asked them to sit on either side of her and talk about work while eating breakfast.
The morning passed quickly.
Snow fell on the glass window like goose feathers, forming a faint fog that covered the scenery outside.
“Lin Jiao, do you want to go out to eat?” Zhuo Yuan, who had gotten the takeout, reminded her kindly, “It’s especially cold outside.”
“Did you go out?”
“No.” She described the delivery man. “He has snow on his eyelashes and is trembling.”
Lin Jiao instantly gave up on going out.
She called Pei Yilan to meet up in the cafeteria and brought the two newbies to the fifth floor to familiarize with the environment.
The lively environment added some warmth to the cold winter.
After getting their food, they found seats and sat down. Pei Yilan took two sips of the soup and glanced at the table behind Lin Jiao.
She lowered her voice. “Are they new?”
“Yes, six came today.”
“Are they easy to teach?”
“Not bad.” Lin Jiao took a bite of the pickled fish. “How have you been in the PR department recently? Do you have any plans?”
“No, I want to quit.”
“Why?”
“Work is too boring.” Pei Yilan had learned everything she needed to learn in a working environment, but she could not find any meaning in her work. “I want to open a dessert shop.”
This was her dream when she was in high school.
Lin Jiao still remembered.
She spat out the fish bones and said, “Where are you going to open the shop? CBD or near the TV tower?”
“Neither.” Pei Yilan calculated her savings. “The rent there is too expensive. I want to find a smaller shop first.”
“How about Sycamore Street? I saw a few shops on lease yesterday. The location is not bad.”
“Really? Then I’ll go and take a look after work.”
Lin Jiao chewed on the rice slowly. “Is Jiang Ye coming? If not, I’ll go with you.”
“He’s coming.” Pei Yilan talked to her about her renovation ideas of the shop and how many employees she had to hire.
They finished their meal during the discussion.
Lin Jiao went to the CEO’s office as usual and happened to hear Qu Shao mention a familiar name.
She walked to the sofa. “What happened to Gu Quan?”
“He’s talking to Sheng Heng about a collaboration,” Qu Shao replied truthfully. He picked up the signed document and left.
The moment Qu Shao closed the door, Pei Zhi held her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
He kissed her red lips and briefly outlined the content of their collaboration. “Wifey, do you want me to collaborate with him?”
“I’m not from the project department.”
“But you can make an opinion.”
Lin Jiao was not in a hurry to make an opinion.
She asked from Sheng Heng’s point of view, “Is this your first time working with the Gu Corporation?”
“Yes, I’ve never had anything to do with them before.”
“I’m not sure about the others in the Gu Corporation, but Gu Quan is more serious about work. If he’s in charge, you can give it a try.”
Pei Zhi’s expression did not change. “At the moment, the Gu Corporation indeed seems like a suitable partner.”
“Then why are you asking me this?” Lin Jiao narrowed her eyes and stared at him. “On purpose?”
“I’m just afraid you don’t want us to work together.”
“Why not?”
Pei Zhi chuckled. “Wifey, you’re right.” He carried her to the lounge. “Have you seen the message Chu Yuzhou sent?”
“Not yet.”
“He invites us to go to the hot spring tomorrow night.”
“Where?” Lin Jiao changed into her pajamas in front of him. Before she buttoned her shirt, she felt a warmth at her waist.
She pushed the shameless man away and hid under the blanket to avoid his kiss.
Pei Zhi crawled under the blanket.
“Pingling Mountain.” He set the alarm and put his arm around her slender waist. “I think he’s bringing someone with him.”
“A new girlfriend?”
“I’m not sure. We’ll see.”
A heart-palpitating kiss landed again, drowning Lin Jiao’s soft voice.
She pursed her red lips. “No kissing.”
“Alright,” Pei Zhi muttered, placing his chin on the top of her head.
“There will be times when you beg me to kiss you.”

Pingling Mountain was located in the north of Lin City.
The mountain peak that was covered in thick snow reached into the clouds. At a glance, it was as if it was connected to the sky.
Cars passed through the winding mountain road and stopped halfway up the mountain at a resort.
Chu Yuzhou and Tang Ni arrived first.
He stopped in front of a three-story cabin and asked the boss to get the key before bringing her in.
“Are you cold?” He turned to look at Tang Ni, whose nose was red. He felt that she was like a rabbit.
Tang Ni shook her head. “Your friends aren’t here yet?”
She agreed to go out with him on impulse. Now that she was here, she was extremely nervous.
She was not afraid that Chu Yuzhou would do something to her, but she was worried that his friends would not like her.
“They’ll be here soon.” Chu Yuzhou poured her a glass of water that the boss had just boiled. “Don’t be nervous. They’re very easy to get along with.”
Tang Ni took a deep breath. “Ok.” She held the glass to warm her hands and looked out the window. “I haven’t been to a hot spring in a long time.”
“How long?”
“Almost two years.”
Chu Yuzhou lit a cigarette. “It’s fine.” He raised an eyebrow. “You can soak in the hot spring all you want today.”
Tang Ni seemed to hear a trace of doting in his voice and could not help but blush.
She sat on the sofa obediently. When she heard footsteps outside the door, she perked up.
An extremely outstanding-looking man and woman held each other’s hands and pushed open the door.
Lin Jiao and Tang Ni looked at each other for two seconds. A smile appeared on Lin Jiao’s beautiful face, so beautiful that one could not bear to look away.
They introduced themselves to each other. Tang Ni’s gaze was still on Lin Jiao’s face. “You’re so beautiful.”
“You’re very beautiful too.” Lin Jiao’s gaze wandered between her and Chu Yuzhou. “Were you the one at Bo Yu Club last time?”
“That’s me.”
“Are you in a relationship?”
Tang Ni waved her hand. “No.” She glanced at the person beside her and her face reddened again.
“Young Master Chu, not bad.” Qu Shao, who entered the cabin, heard the conversation and smiled meaningfully.
He looked very fierce, but when he smiled, his expression was much gentler. He did not look difficult to get along with.
“Not bad my ass.” Chu Yuzhou handed him and Pei Zhi a cigarette and coughed lightly. “She gets shy easily. Don’t tease her.”
Qu Shao asked her, “What’s your name?”
“Tang Ni.”
“That’s a good name. It matches Chu Yuzhou very well.” Like an old father, he couldn’t stop smiling.
