2745 Higher Faeries!
Given the current circumstances, the entire main world would be split into four factions. They were the human-led federations, the sea clans under the Vast Sea Labyrinth, the feys in the Heavenly Family Cottage, and the dimensional lifeforms led by the Afterlife Realm Dictators.
The four factions could be split into further categories. The humans could be divided into their individual federations, the terrestrial feys into their species, the sea clans into their individual clans, and the five dimensional worlds that were not fully united despite having fused with the main world.
With the main world’s factions as complicated as they were, it was impossible for the vast main world to be supervised by just one or two people. A small number of people would be unable to oversee the entire main world, and it would be inevitable for incidents of favoritism to arise.
Unfairness was the beginning of devolution into chaos.
With such circumstances, the best method would be to pick representatives from each faction and allow the factions to keep each other in check. This method would be the most effective at preventing unfairness.
However, this endeavor was not simple and required a significant amount of effort.
Nonetheless, the Moon Empress was willing to invest her time and energy into this matter.
Once this group was functioning smoothly, the main world would enjoy an extended period of balance and peace.
There were more than 37,000 human federations. It was clear that it was impossible to pick representatives from each federation.
When trying to establish fairness, there were other considerations aside from fairness itself.
If the humans sent out thousands of representatives, it would be too complicated for them to look after each other.
Ever since the Major Federation Union was established, the federations no longer cared about the Major Federation Meeting.
Nevertheless, the Moon Empress felt there was still a need to hold the Major Federation Meeting.
After the dead spirits crisis came to an end, the entire world would enter a period of martial prosperity.
The Moon Empress planned to raise the rewards for the Major Federation Meeting.
The Major Federation Meeting would be hosted by a different human federation every three years instead of being held on an uninhabited island like it used to be.
As long as there were boats that could be used for long voyages, the Major Federation Meeting would bring new human traffic to the federations and boost their tourism industry.
In the past, there was only tourism in the big cities of each federation. But now, any federation chosen to be the host would be able to receive substantial profits. Hence, all the federations would be clamoring to host the Major Federation Meeting.
Becoming a federation envoy was the highest honor for a member of the younger generation in a federation. They should not become symbols of an era.
With this thought, the Moon Empress sought out Iron Prison.
…
Iron Prison had expected the Moon Empress to come to see him.
Lin Yuan had picked up on the incident in the north manor in time and used the method of handling Mang Shui to send a warning to all those who had similar thoughts. However, the incident still left a significant impact on the Radiance Federation. After all the fighting they had recently done, there were many factions who continued to be ready to brandish their swords at any moment.
In Iron Prison’s eyes, this was a very bad sign.
Negative incidents of factions fighting with each other had been breaking out, and Iron Prison was constantly dealing with them.
If the Moon Empress did not seek him out in these two weeks, Iron Prison would go and see her about this matter.
Iron Prison was always aware of the gap between him and the Moon Empress.
Despite both of them being members of the Radiance Federation’s royalty, she used to be a Class 5 Creation Master and was now a Class 6 Creation Master.
During imperial meetings, the Moon Empress, Chef Supreme, and the Bamboo Monarch sat on the same level as the other members of royalty. But in actuality, the three of them were of a higher status than the other members of royalty.
This was especially so now that the Moon Empress was supplying all of the Radiance Federation’s resources. Her disciple was also the one who enabled the main world to evolve.
Hence, Iron Prison changed the attitude he took toward the Moon Empress to one of respect.
It went without saying that Iron Prison’s respect did not only stem from the Moon Empress’ strength but also because he acknowledged her.
Otherwise, not only would he refuse to submit to her, but he would even stubbornly oppose her!
…
When the Moon Empress saw the state that Iron Prison was in, she poured out a cup of tea for him before saying solemnly, “Iron Prison, I have focused on dealing with the dead spirits crisis of late and neglected the management of the Radiance Federation. You must be aware of the Radiance Federation’s circumstances! I hope that you’ll tell me everything as it is.
“After the dead spirits crisis ends, the most important matter will be that of the Radiance Federation’s internal management. I don’t want any similar incidents to appear again in the future. I also don’t want the Radiance Federation’s factions to always be ready to attack each other!”
Iron Prison understood the Moon Empress’ meaning. He also knew why the Moon Empress had come to see him.
Iron Prison said seriously, “It won’t be easy to change the current situation among the Radiance Federation’s factions. We can ensure that the factions won’t clash again but can’t dissolve the resentment and animosity that has already built up.
“You might not be aware of this, but there are many factions that are fighting even more ferociously than in the manor in the north district. Blood was spilled in many other places.
“There are factions declaring blood feuds against each other daily. It has gotten so serious that I was forced to close the ultimate fighting ground! It will take at least a few decades to comb out all the relationships between the factions and restore the previous state of harmony!
“Dealing with Mang Shui was indeed a way of warning some people, but this warning is far from enough. A longer period of control and management is still necessary.”
Iron Prison’s tone became sterner as he continued. “The resources from your disciple are far too startling. Even we members of royalty have never had the opportunity to receive such resources, much less the other factions!”
After hearing what Iron Prison said, the Moon Empress knew that there was no need for her to elaborate because Iron Prison shared her thoughts and could understand her meaning immediately after hearing her decision.
“Iron Prison, I’ll give you two years. In these two years, first sort out the combative environment among the factions. Two years later, I will establish a mutual supervision group made up of factions across the main world. You will represent the group from the Radiance Federation.
“With your abilities, two years should be enough to accomplish this! If you agree, I will announce this decision at the imperial meeting three days later.”
Iron Prison could sense the trust that the Moon Empress had in him.
Iron Prison was well aware of his bad temper. Aside from Cicada Song, Iron Prison did not have deep ties with the other members of royalty. It could be said that he had the worst interpersonal ties among all the members of the Radiance Federation’s royalty.
There even used to be animosity between Iron Prison and the Moon Empress because of Cheng Wu. However, neither Iron Prison nor the Moon Empress had brought up the incident since then.
Later, when the Moon Empress’ lifespan was endangered, Iron Prison decided to use his own sacred source lifeform to extend her life. It was only then that their relationship improved.
The Moon Empress still did not like Iron Prison, but this did not mean that she did not admire his character.
The Spacetime Elder had given Iron Prison such an arrangement in the past because it prevented his talents from going to waste. The Moon Empress was going the same now.
There were many members of royalty with free time. However, the Moon Empress deemed Iron Prison to be the most suitable of the lot.
She believed that he would be willing to take on this task.
“Moon Empress, I have no reason to turn down this task you’re giving me! I will make sure to get the Radiance Federation’s surface layer under control. Enabling the Radiance Federation to come off as peaceful isn’t a challenge for me at all!
“The method of keeping each other in check is effective at managing not only the entire main world but the Radiance Federation as well! I will pick some elites from the members of royalty’s subordinates and manage the Radiance Federation through them. The elites belonging to the camps of different members of royalty will also supervise each other.”
After he was done speaking, Iron Prison did not stay long. He did not even finish drinking the cup of tea the Moon Empress had poured out for him.
This did not bother the Moon Empress because she knew that this was just his personality.
Iron Prison did not have much of an EQ, but he did have the character befitting of a member of royalty.
The Moon Empress intended to have a talk with Tian Feng after the next imperial meeting ended. She was going to tell him not to overly blame himself for his erroneous decision but to focus on the future development of the Radiance Federation instead!
This dead spirits crisis allowed the Moon Empress to see the importance of Cultivated Garden.
Cultivated Garden was the source of supply for the Radiance Federation’s foundational resources. These foundational resources could not be replaced by high-quality resources.
High-quality resources were beneficial for spirit qi professionals who already had some power, while low-quality resources were meant for the millions of regular people who lived in the Radiance Federation.
The burden of responsibility on Tian Feng’s shoulders was a very heavy one!
Tian Feng was not the kind of person who could be convinced through advice. Once he became bogged down by his thoughts, it would take some time for him to regain his footing!
…
While the Moon Empress was handling the Radiance Federation’s affairs, Spring had finished gathering the dead world’s roots. She stored them inside a special amber bottle.
Spring placed this bottle in Lin Yuan’s hand and said earnestly, “Lord Saint, the dead world’s roots are of a very high level. It will have a large impact on lifeforms below the Divine Kingdom level. Do not use the dead world’s roots on other lifeforms without careful consideration.”
Lin Yuan nodded seriously, making a mental note of Spring’s words.
“Spring, I will seek your help when I decide to use the dead world’s roots to nurture or strengthen other lifeforms! I already have a target in mind.”
Spring could tell that Lin Yuan trusted her, and she could not help but smile brightly.
“Lord Saint, you can give me instructions whenever you want as long as you need me!”
After removing the dead world’s roots from the ley lines, Spring used her energy to seal Tower Canon’s castle. She would immediately be alerted if anyone tried to enter the castle.
Spring knew that Lin Yuan was going to use the calamity in the castle to strengthen Merciful Soul in the future!
Lin Yuan followed Spring to Epoch God Palace.
…
With Spring leading the way, Lin Yuan arrived at the entrance of Epoch God Palace very quickly.
As he looked at the mountain with the four seasons clearly distinguished on it, Lin Yuan could not help but feel both a sense of familiarity as well as amazement.
The Snow Celestial Mountain had been far from as majestic and mystical as this mountain.
Spring saw Lin Yuan looking at Four Seasons Mountain and said seriously, “Lord Saint, this Four Seasons Mountain has the potential to become a higher faerie. However, even after being promoted to a Class 2 world, this world can’t handle the Heaven’s Trial of a higher faerie.
“If you want to take this Four Seasons Mountain with you when you leave for the Sky Beyond the Clouds, there will be no need to continue suppressing the Four Seasons Mountain’s bloodline, and it will be able to evolve into a higher faerie.
“The appearance of a higher faerie in the Sky Beyond the Clouds will immediately lead to a meeting with the people from Faerie Institution. Then, you’ll be able to use Four Seasons Mountain to become acquainted with Faerie Institution.
“Although Faerie Institution is a faction made up of faeries, they have never been against interacting with other factions. But if any harm comes to a faerie, they will bring down their wrath with no mercy. Faeries are the strongest species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds. This is largely related to the unity of the faeries.”
Lin Yuan looked at Four Seasons Mountain in surprise. He had not expected it to not only have the potential to evolve into a higher faerie but already be ready for the evolution!
The only reason it had yet to evolve was that its grade was being suppressed.
Lin Yuan really liked listening to Spring talk about the Sky Beyond the Clouds. Although he was present in the main world, this allowed him to gain a better understanding of the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Lin Yuan was very willing to interact with Faerie Institution when he went to the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Through his interactions with Celestial Sight and Begin Lady, Lin Yuan had a very good impression of the faerie species. Moreover, it seemed that his body composition naturally attracted faeries.
At that moment, Lin Yuan sensed two powerful auras emanating from within Epoch God Palace. These two aura were heavily permeated by emotion.
Normally, experts with such auras should not appear now.
Summer was currently extracting death aura from the Startling Lines Continent’s ley lines.
The only entities in Epoch God Palace who were willing to reveal their auras to Spring were Autumn and Winter, who were also rulers of Epoch God Palace.
Autumn and Winter were also followers of the Saint. It was clear that they were releasing their auras in response to his arrival.
While Lin Yuan was thinking of the right way to address Autumn and Winter, two figures appeared and knelt in front of him. They performed the same greetings that Spring and Summer did when they first showed themselves to him.
Just as Lin Yuan was about to help Autumn and Winter up, Spring said softly, “Lord Saint, let them finish their greetings! They have been waiting for many epochs to pass just to see you!”
