Chapter 140: Chapter 140: Welfare Instance, Brushing Like Crazy
The undead army, the more they fight, the more they multiply!
Zi Liyuan had barely finished his lament when the second wave of monsters refreshed once again.
The minions that emerged from the monster teleportation gate were no longer werewolves but had turned into Cave People?!
[Cave People (Rare)]
[Level]: LV60
[Attributes]: Physical Damage 275, Physical Defense 90, Magic Resistance 80, Health 10K.
[Skills]: Headbutt, Tear, Bite
[Combat Power]: 420
Looking at the detection data that appeared in his mind, a strange light flashed in Zi Liyuan’s eyes.
“The second wave of minions is even weaker than the first, it seems that the refreshing of these minions is randomly drawn.”
After a quick review of the Cave People’s data, Zi Liyuan pushed it aside; they were weaker than the werewolves and could be wiped out with ease.
Just then, the detection data in his mind changed once again, and another set of monster data flashed up.
[Boarman Warlord (Heroic Boss)]
[Level]: LV60
[Attributes]: Physical Damage 2000, Physical Defense 520, Magic Resistance 500, Health 180K, Spiritual Energy 30K
[Skills]: Heavy Hammer Strike, Sweep Thousands Army, Furious Blood Combo, Battle All Directions, Blood Fury Slaughter, ???
[Combat Power]: 3400
The second wave of monsters refreshed right at the two-minute mark, so four LV60 mini-BOSSES appeared all at once.
“Lao Tie, time to get to work~”
Zi Liyuan patted Lao Tie, who was following by his side, and saw this massive iron hulk charge out like a speeding heavy truck, trailing a cloud of dust.
The attributes of the LV60 Heroic BOSS were okay; the Skeleton Cannon Fodder couldn’t kill it, but in front of Lao Tie, it really wasn’t much to look at.
Shaking his head, Zi Liyuan opened his own attribute panel to check the recent system messages.
[Ding, killed Werewolf (Rare), exceeding monster level by 13, experience bonus 100%, gained experience points +2000]
[Received materials: Werewolf Blood (Blue) x1, Werewolf Tooth (Blue) x4, Werewolf Skin (Blue) x1…]
…
A series of messages, a total of eight hundred, four hundred were for killing werewolves to gain experience, and the other four hundred were for obtaining materials from killing werewolves.
This wave of monster spawn added a total of 800K experience points, taking less than 1 minute. This rate of gaining experience was incredibly exhilarating!
Glancing at his own experience pool (190K/900Kx2), he had just leveled up to LV47; the next level needed 900K experience points, but since Lao Tie’s experience was bound to his, they would need 1.8M experience points to level up again.
At 800K experience points per minute, it would take just over 22 minutes to accumulate the required experience for leveling up.
The second wave of minions, the Cave People, quickly succumbed to the onslaught of the Spectral Knights and Spectral Mages, entering the death sequence, and then turned into four hundred skeletons, successfully joining the embrace of Zi Liyuan’s Skeleton Army.
As for the four Boarman Warlords, they were gathered together by Lao Tie, who initiated a one-sided beatdown of 1VS4.
It was a true thrashing!
Lao Tie just stood there, without even moving his feet, his pair of iron fists equipped with spiked knuckles, in addition to the eight spurs on his back, were furiously puncturing holes and bleeding out the Boarman Warlords.
Four boarman barbarian kings, despite their thick skin and the Wolf Fang Clubs in their hands, couldn’t break through Lao Tie’s defenses. They kept striking with a thudding sound, but they could only occasionally deal a mandatory “-1” damage. Most of the time, it was a “MISS” that floated by.
On one hand, there was a steady damage of 50,000+ per second, while on the other, the damage didn’t even break past 1. The fate of the boarman barbarian kings was sealed—they were doomed to die.
After Lao Tie beat those four hero bosses to death, Zi Liyuan conveniently had him bring the corpses back.
With a total HP of 1.8 million, they made for excellent material for the Corpse Explosion Technique. These bodies were a catch!
In the third wave, the spawn was actually their own kind, but a notch above the elite skeletons, it was the rare template, the skeleton warriors.
Under the iron hooves of the spectral knights, these bone scraps were quickly trampled into dust.
Then, the ribs were dragged up again, but this time their template was downgraded a notch, turning them into mere grunts among the Skeleton Warrior cannon fodder group.
The Skeleton Army’s numbers increased by 400~, breaking past the major milestone of 2,000 in total.
In the fourth wave, lesser demons appeared, a tad stronger than the Cave People but a bit weaker than the werewolves, and they too quickly became part of the Skeleton Army.
However, this wave also saw the appearance of four hero bosses, only their strength was even less than that of the boarman barbarian kings; Lao Tie easily stabbed them to death, and their corpses were collected once more.
It wasn’t until the fifth wave of creatures emerged that the battlefield saw a change again.
[Boarman Overlord (Lord Boss)]
[Level]: LV60
[Attributes]: Physical Damage 4200, Physical Defense 750, Magic Resistance 650, HP 10 million, Spiritual Energy 2 million.
[Skills]: Mighty Axe Strike, Flying Axe Throw, Boar Charge, Earth Splitting Slash, Bloodthirsty Frenzy, ???
[Combat Power]: 6500
Five minutes had passed, and this time a LV60 Lord Boss had spawned. Lao Tie very conscientiously charged at it.
Then, the puppet and the boarman began to exchange blow for blow in a brutal fistfight.
When Lao Tie threw a punch, the spikes on his knuckles would gouge a bloody hole into the fat pig’s body.
When the boarman threw a punch, Lao Tie’s body might rattle, but the only things floating above his head were either “MISS” or a mandatory “-1” HP damage.
There was no helping it, Lao Tie was just that tough. With a Physical Defense nearing 5000, the boarman overlord’s Physical Damage of 4200 simply couldn’t breach his defenses. Only when using skills could it cause a bit of damage.
But Lao Tie had a passive life-steal effect, so often just as a sliver of HP was knocked off, his health bar would be back to full with the next punch he swung.
It was clearly a one-sided fight. The only bothersome thing was the Lord Boss’s 10 million HP—it was just too bulky.
To take this guy down, Lao Tie had to fight for over three minutes, so Zi Liyuan sent a few spectral knights dragging the freshly collected hero boss corpses over.
They calculated the distance so as not to affect Lao Tie, and then it was time for the Corpse Explosion Technique!
The sound of “boom” explosions began to slowly rise. Each explosion precisely reached the Lord Boss.
One explosion could deal over 1 million damage. With the first explosion, the aggro chain was instantly thrown into disarray. Zi Liyuan suddenly became the top target, a thorn in the boarman overlord’s side.
Unfortunately for the fat pig, before it could make trouble for Zi Liyuan, Lao Tie firmly pinned it in place, preventing it from going anywhere and forced it to eat the blasts docilely.
The battlefield was rife with the aura of death, the Lord Boss’s blood flew about, and in just a few seconds, the boarman overlord let out a mournful scream and collapsed under Lao Tie’s feet, leaving behind a huge pile of loot.
The eight hero boss corpses that had just been acquired had not even warmed up before they were blown to bits with no remains left. However, obtaining a Lord Boss with ten million HP, they didn’t lose out after all.
Cleaning up the battlefield, and then returning to grinding the mobs, the process went on unerringly.
In a dungeon where the Corpse Explosion Technique could be used, with an ample supply of boss corpses for materials, and with Lao Tie being able to face off against a third-order LV60 Lord Boss, this LV60 dungeon “Guard The Energy Crystal” was practically a benefit thrown his way!
