Chapter 195: Looking at Me Differently
Yun Xiangxiang was still lazing around in Song Mian’s house after dinner. She preferred to stay in the story above hers when Yun Lin was not around.
Song Mian might not be home, but feeling his presence around her allowed her to sleep even slept better.
Song Mian was obviously busy. He had to attend two video conferences. Never did his hands and eyes avert from the computer.
Yun Xiangxiang quietly stood by his side as she did her own stuff. It was a pity she had to attend the selection as a judge tomorrow. She would have stuck onto Song Mian otherwise.
Yun Xiangxiang only left when it was time for practise. After walking out of door, she hugged Song Mian tightly and reminded him fiercely, “Don’t make breakfast for me tomorrow.”
He must have not slept well during the month he was in the woods. There were also many businesses waiting for him when he returned.
“I wake up at…”
“Keep on sleeping after you have woken up,” Yun Xiangxiang clasped his mouth before he finished his sentence.
Resignedly, Song Mian nodded in obedience, “Okay, I’ll catch up on some sleep.”
“Good boy. Here’s a reward. Good night,” Standing on her tiptoes, Yun Xiangxiang kissed his lips.
When she returned to her home and finished practising, she went to look at what was in the fridge. It piqued Song Qian’s curiosity, “Are you hungry?”
“No, I’m looking at what ingredients I can use to make breakfast for Ah Mian tomorrow,” Yun Xiangxiang replied as she scanned through the fridge.
Song Mian would be the one who always made breakfast for her. She might not be as good at cooking as Song Mian was, but at least the food she made was edible.
Although she was going to be a judge tomorrow, she would only go to the company at nine. She had plenty of time.
“Elder sister, you never made breakfast for me before…,” Yun Lin’s voice suddenly said from behind.
A guilty Yun Xiangxiang turned around, “Why are you not sleeping yet at this hour?!”
“I got a lot of homework today,” Yun Lin looked at his elder sister, who was pretending to be fierce.
“Okay, okay. I’ll make one for you tomorrow too,” Yun Xiangxiang said strictly with her authority as elder sister. “Go to sleep.”
“I have to thank Brother Mian,” Yun Lin suddenly said.
“”En?”
“It’s thanks to Brother Mian that I can have breakfast made by my elder sister,” Yun Lin returned to his room after sighing sagely.
He left Yun Xiangxiang who was half amused and half annoyed. My little brother’s all grown up. He’s not that adorable now.
Yun Xiangxiang immediately started making breakfast after her morning workout was done the next day. When she recalled how exquisite the breakfast Song Mian made was, she tried her best to make dishes that were not rough around the edges.
“How is it? Does it taste good?” Yun Xiangxiang asked Yun Lin concernedly.
She thought it was decent when she ate it, but everyone would lower the benchmark for themselves. They would think anything was fine as long as it was edible.
“Elder sister, I thought it was incidental yesterday. Now, I find out that I don’t even reap incidental benefits,” Yun Lin looked frustrated after he finished. “I am just your guinea pig.”
“How can you think of your sister like that?” Yun Xiangxiang had a sudden urge to beat her little brother up.
“Then why are you asking for my opinion in such a hurry?” Yun Lin was defiant.
“I care about your opinion, okay?” Yun Xiangxiang argued.
Yun Lin gave Yun Xiangxiang a look that said: I don’t believe you.
Yun Xiangxiang suddenly felt guilty again, “Go to school now, or you’ll be late!”
“Oh,” Yun Lin still relented and stopped exposing his sister. He obediently picked up his bag and followed Song Qian away.
Yun Xiangxiang returned to the kitchen and served the other two dishes specially made for Song Mian.
She had just arrived at the dining hall when she bumped into Yun Lin who came back after a short leave. She still held the dishes in her hands.
Yun Xiangxiang: Oh no.
“I forgot to take a form along with me,” Yun Lin explained before taking the form and leaving.
As a qualified little brother, he still had to give some leeway to his elder sister.
Yun Xiangxiang picked up her phone to call Song Mian. “En?”
This was the first time Yun Xiangxiang heard Song Mian’s lazy drawl. Obviously he was still sleeping. Even though he obediently caught up on some sleep, his voice was illegally great to listen to.
It was as if the voice had a hook that lured her in. Yun Xiangxiang immediately said, “Come down here quick. I made breakfast for you.”
Yun Xiangxiang hung up right after she said that. Her heart started pumping inexplicably. What is this? I just heard a languid voice, right?
There was a fraction of a second when Yun Xiangxiang had the urge to pounce on the owner of the voice and violate him.
She slapped herself to snap out of it before cleaning up the dishes Yun Lin left and set up clean plates.
Song Mian arrived quickly. He came down in ten minutes. In his sports attire, his long legs were particularly eye-catching.
Song Mian would look at Yun Xiangxiang from time to time when he was having his breakfast. Yun Xiangxiang was feeling weird from the gazes he gave her, “What are you looking at?”
“You,” Song Mian replied seriously. “I notice that something is different about you today.”
“Oh yeah? What about me is different?” Yun Xiangxiang frowned in doubt.
Song Mian suddenly got close to her. His presence immediately enveloped Yun Xiangxiang, “The way you look at me is different.”
“Nothing’s different. You’re seeing things,” Yun Xiangxiang slowly put some distance between them.
Song Mian, however, closed in inch by inch. One of his arms was wrapping her waist. “Am I really just seeing things?”
“Of course you are!” Yun Xiangxiang snapped.
Look at her little guilty eyes. How cute. Song Mian couldn’t push the love within him down. He pressed his lips against hers.
His tongue wrapped around hers gently and carefully, as if it was testing the waters. Slowly, he deepened this sweet kiss.
Yun Xiangxiang turned to jelly quickly. She didn’t want to resist. Instead, she reacted to his kiss herself.
The temperature in the room slowly rose. A thirst suddenly rose within Yun Xiangxiang. Her moan made Song Mian lose all rationality.
Just when Song Mian was holding her in a princess hug, Yun Xiangxiang’s phone rang. Her rationality came back. Pantingly, she spoke, “We can’t do this. I need to go to the company.”
Since she didn’t refuse this job as a judge the day before yesterday, she couldn’t be absent now. That would be breaking her promise with He Wei.
If she went, with the number of people and media outlets, anything out of place would be noticed immediately.
Song Mian’s flame of passion was stoked by Yun Xiangxiang’s tease. He lightly bit her lips, “Tease me like this again next time, and you’re not getting away with it.”
As she looked at Song Mian who was suppressing it going back upstairs, Yun Xiangxiang buried her face in the sofa. She only calmed down after a while, and went to doll up after that.
When she came out and was going to call for Ai Li, she remembered that Ai Li was there. When she recalled how close they were to doing it just now, she absolutely forgot that Ai Li was upstairs.
She howled silently to herself: Yun Xiangxiang, when did you become so thirsty, you can even forget a living human was there?
“I don’t know anything that happened,” Ai Li explained in understanding when she noticed Yun Xiangxiang’s awkwardness.
Yun Xiangxiang, “…”
Yun Xiangxiang didn’t want to talk to Ai Li on her trip to the company. When she arrived at the company, she saw Li Man. A lanyard was also hanging in front of Li Man’s chest.
“It’s not going to look good if you’re the only one replacing their agent as judge,” Li Man explained first.
Yun Xiangxiang was moved. Li Man continued, “I am doing this for myself. I don’t want the man you and I both like to be embroiled in any scandals.”
