Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Do you like it? Shall I give it to you?
Editor: Inschain
“You wear size 36 shoes, these are clearly size 35, so there are only two possibilities, either they weren’t bought for you, or they were purchased by mistake,” Qiao Yun logically analyzed.
Lu Ting was startled and turned the shoe over to check, indeed, it was size 35.
How could Qiao Yun tell the size just by looking? Was it a coincidence?
“Maybe big brother bought the wrong size,” she guessed.
Lu Ting thought Qiao Yun was jealous because big brother had only bought gifts for her, so she said that.
A sense of pride swelled within her, even though you’re the biological one, big brother still cherishes me the most.
Qiao Yun said nothing and turned to go upstairs.
But Lu Ting called out to her, her tone tinged with a sense of charity, “Do you like them? I’ll give them to you? I have too many shoes to wear, just leaving them is a waste, it’s all because big brother always likes to buy gifts for me.”
Qiao Yun wanted to say no need, just then, Su Mian, who had heard the noise, poked her head out of the small kitchen.
She smiled warmly at Qiao Yun, “Qiaoqiao, the bag on the sofa is a back-to-school gift your second brother bought for you, do you like it?”
The fingers Lu Ting held the shoes with stiffened instantly, a sense of unprecedented humiliation rose from the bottom of her heart, turning her fine face crimson red.
The more she had flaunted before, the more unpleasant her face looked now.
Qiao Yun, a bit slower, asked Su Mian, “For me?”
“Yes,” Su Mian said, looking at Qiao Yun’s stunned expression and nodded with a smile.
Qiao Yun pursed her lips and, after a while, gave a small ‘oh,’ and returned to the sofa to see what Lu Zhanxing had sent.
Su Mian then said, “Tingting, those on the coffee table are from your second brother too.”
Lu Ting forced a smile, her gaze landing on the coffee table.
Even though they were designer brands too, they still fell short compared to Qiao Yun’s gifts.
Clearly, Qiao Yun’s gifts were more expensive than hers.
Discontent welled up in her heart, big brother is too biased!
Seeing Lu Ting still holding the shoes, Qiao Yun asked indifferently, “You like them? I’ll give them to you, I have too many, can’t wear them all.”
That was actually true, she rarely bought clothes, but many people prepared them for her.
Lu Ting was sure Qiao Yun was insulting her, she suppressed the anger in her heart, and said with a feigned smile, “No need, they were given to you by big brother, I couldn’t possibly take them.”
Qiao Yun nodded her small head, no longer bothering with the nearly furious Lu Ting, and began opening the packages one by one.
There were clothes, plush toys, shoes, and even exercise books, all very practical, showing that Lu Zhanxing had put thought into it.
Su Mian was very pleased with the gifts Lu Zhanxing sent.
The second son might not have the best personality, but he had always been meticulous.
But he was disobedient, becoming a celebrity rather than attending university.
Su Mian chuckled and returned to the kitchen, telling Lu Rui, “The second son is quite sensible, I was afraid he had forgotten he still has a little sister.”
Lu Rui said noncommittally, “If he were really sensible, why wouldn’t he come back himself, what does sending a gift count for?”
Su Mian laughed, “Enough, you say you don’t care, but you still sneak a peek at his news often.”
Lu Rui: “…”
He pretended not to hear, silently fiddling with garlic cloves.
He was not against Lu Zhanxing becoming a celebrity, but he disapproved of his decision to forsake university for his dream, which wasn’t proper.
Because of this, Lu Zhanxing had to carve out his own path in the entertainment industry.
No one knew that Lu Zhanxing was the second young master of the Lu Family.
This time, when Qiao Yun returned, he hadn’t even made a phone call, Lu Rui had been holding back this grievance for a long time, but seeing the gifts Lu Zhanxing sent had dimmed it slightly.
Su Mian frowned slightly, “The results for the little test should be out by now, how should I comfort Qiaoqiao…”
