Chapter 94: Chapter 94 The Street Thug
Editor: Inschain
Li Miao sat in the back seat, looking at Li Hanzhou with a face that said she’d seen a ghost.
It was another day of big brother’s split personality, huh.
Upon arriving at the Lu Family’s place, Li Miao politely greeted Su Mian before taking Qiao Yun away.
Su Mian was very welcoming of Li Miao. Qiaoqiao was too cold, and she was afraid she would have trouble making friends and be lonely.
Now that Li Miao was willing to take Qiaoqiao out to play, Su Mian wished she would come over every day.
When Qiao Yun stepped out, she saw Li Hanzhou, tall and leggy, leaning against the car door, wearing a white shirt with the top two buttons undone, revealing his pale skin and his delicate collarbone.
A pair of deep eyes held a shallow smile, watching her.
This appearance looked somewhat…
Qiao Yun thought about it, and her eyes lit up—it looked a bit like a gangster by the street.
If Pei Ya were here, he would definitely tell her that she was wrong, that it should be a fox in heat.
Li Hanzhou lifted his chin, indicating for her to get in the car.
Lu Ting saw the Li siblings coming to pick up Qiao Yun. Her face showed indifference, but her fingers were white from gripping too hard.
Why should Qiao Yun, a country girl, receive their welcome?
And yet, after all her efforts, she still had no contact with people on Li Miao’s level.
Lu Ting couldn’t calm down as the more she was around Qiao Yun, the more of her strengths she saw.
Better grades, better popularity, even her parents treated Qiao Yun better than they treated her.
She couldn’t understand. She had been with them for over a decade, and Qiao Yun had only been back for a short while, yet she managed to surpass her.
Now, even big brother was taking an interest in Qiao Yun, and Lu Ting felt a sense of panic and loss, feeling wronged and resentful at the same time.
She didn’t know where she got the audacity, but she blurted out, “Sister, where are you going? Can I come with you? I’m so bored at home.”
Li Miao frowned unhappily, fearing that Qiao Yun would agree.
Qiao Yun spoke seriously, “No, it’s impolite to invite oneself without being asked.”
“…”
Lu Ting’s face turned awkward, suspecting that Qiao Yun was implying she lacked manners.
Now she stood there, embarrassed to death.
Li Miao snickered internally. That’s Qiaoqiao for you. Awesome!
Qiao Yun’s dark eyes looked at her, her tone even, “When you become friends with Li Miao, then you can follow me.”
Li Miao: “Heh, my friend list is full. You need to wait in line.”
This disdainful attitude made Lu Ting lose face, and this was the most embarrassed she had been in her life; it was all Qiao Yun’s fault for turning her down.
She mumbled something like, “I’m not feeling very well, I didn’t really want to go out anyway,” and hurriedly went inside.
Li Hanzhou met Qiao Yun’s gaze, asking with a smile, “Did you do that on purpose?”
Qiao Yun looked somewhat perplexed, “Huh?”
Li Hanzhou suddenly really wanted to rub Qiao Yun’s face; her look of confusion was kind of cute.
He couldn’t help but curve his lips upward, “Get in the car.”
Qiao Yun wanted to sit in the back, but Li Hanzhou quickly stuffed her into the passenger seat instead.
No sooner had she settled in than Li Hanzhou handed her an open bottle of mineral water, “Have some water.”
His gaze rested on Qiao Yun’s dry lips.
Qiao Yun paused for two seconds before slowly taking it and taking a small sip.
Li Hanzhou propped his head up to watch her, so obedient.
Suddenly finding pleasure in the act of offering water, Li Hanzhou said, “That little?”
Qiao Yun lifted her eyelids to look at him, then took another sip.
So well-behaved.
Li Hanzhou laughed, a bit disappointed when he saw Qiao Yun stop drinking.
Li Miao spoke up faintly, “Brother, I’m thirsty too.”
Without turning his head, Li Hanzhou replied, “There’s mineral water in the back, help yourself.”
There you go.
Her brother’s split personality was getting worse.
