Chapter 448: Chapter 448: You’re Not a Vase
“Are you trying to ruin Lan’s Hospital, take revenge on Lan Yuyi, or even do you want to drive her to death?”
Qiao Yin was slightly taken aback, Lu Lingche’s intelligence was indeed high, guessing her inner motive at once.
However, how could she possibly admit it?
So, half-jokingly she said, “President Lu, you’re joking. How could I possibly have the ability to ruin Lan’s Hospital?”
“I indeed hold a grudge, but claiming that I want to kill her, that’s a bit far-fetched. How could Yuyi be easily driven to death?”
“Oh, my revenge on her has nothing to do with you, President Lu, you’re overthinking it. It’s because someone came to my clinic yesterday and caused a ruckus. The police have already found out that those troublemakers were bribed to deliberately come here for an abortion to ruin my clinic’s reputation.”
“And the person who bribed this couple to make trouble should be Lan Yuyi.”
Lu Lingche glanced at her, “You are too presumptuous, it wasn’t Yuyi.”
A mocking grin spread across Qiao Yin’s lips, “President Lu, you’re still so defensive of your pure love, immediately clearing her of any involvement.”
However, a hint of complexity flickered in Lu Lingche’s eyes as he said softly, “I have just cleared you of any involvement as well.”
Qiao Yin didn’t hear him clearly, “What did you say?”
“Nothing, I’m just saying, it wasn’t Yuyi.”
Qiao Yin laughed a bit, though her smile was a cold and distant one, “From your words, President Lu, you seem pretty sure it’s not her. Do you happen to know who bribed the couple to cause trouble?”
“I do.”
Qiao Yin was taken aback, “Who is it?”
“It’s my mom.”
Of course, Qiao Yin had thought that it could be Madam Lu. However, she was somewhat surprised when Lu Lingche straightforwardly gave her this answer, “To protect Lan Yuyi, you even betray your own mother? Lu Lingche, I didn’t know you were this filial!”
In the past, whenever she had a dispute with Madam Lu, Lu Lingche always took his mother’s side!
Now, he has made a completely opposite choice!
Lu Lingche picked up on Qiao Yin’s sarcasm, but he showed no emotions, “It was indeed my mom who did this, not Yuyi. Don’t continue with your plan, you won’t succeed. As long as I’m here, I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Qiao Yin’s eyes started to become teary and her voice icy, “So, President Lu you are here to warn me. You even mentioned negotiation. Are you afraid that I will kill your pure love? President Lu, your deep affection for Miss Lan is indeed touching!”
“She is not my pure love, but yes, you indeed cannot drive her to death, Qiao Yin, absolutely not.”
“What if I insist on doing so?”
“Then you’ll be dealing with me, not her.”
Qiao Yin felt a throbbing pain at the bottom of her heart, as if it was slowly cracking again.
However, pain never knocked her down, it only made her stronger.
All of a sudden, she started laughing, “It was a joke, President Lu, I just don’t like cheaters and casually unleashed some gossip. Why did you take it so seriously that you came all the way here to warn me?”
“How could I possibly bring down Lan’s Hospital? And how could I drive Miss Lan, who you want to protect so desperately, to death?”
“Have you forgotten, President Lu, that you’ve always said I was a vase, that apart from my face, I have nothing else? How could a vase like me confront Miss Lan?”
“But I do need to remind you, President Lu, not to let your mother disrupt things again. Otherwise, I might not be able to control myself and release some explosive news. Then it would be a loss for all of you, wouldn’t it?”
Lu Lingche looked at her smiling face, and after a moment of silence, he said, “You are not a vase.”
Qiao Yin continued to smile, but her eyes weren’t quite as bright, “Yes, I am.”
“You are not.”
“President Lu, you’re really funny. The one who called me a vase was you, and the one who said I’m not a vase is still you. Do you have a split personality?”
“I made a wrong judgment in the past.”
