Chapter 377: Robbing Fire

Fang Xing felt as though he’d just bought a counterfeit and was extremely angry.
He’d noticed from the very beginning that the bedroom was filled with a sweet scent, and although he initially thought it was nothing more than ordinary incense, he soon realized the scent within had the ability to enchant a cultivator. The amount was very minimal, however—only people like him who’d studied something like the Script of Revered Sense would be able to detect it, and even then only very slightly.
He’d had his healthy share of hiding beneath the beds of the Chulai Brothel back when he was living in the ordinary realm, and although he hadn’t known what was going on and had simply been mischievously trying to prank his sex demon of a fourth uncle, he’d still smelled this scent before—it was meant to increase sexual arousal. For that reason, he’d thought it being here was normal and hadn’t paid it much mind.
When the “Dragon King’s daughter” appeared, however, he began to feel something wasn’t right. For him, being able to read a person’s body language and facial expressions was the most basic of skills necessary to survive. He needed to know who would be an easy target to bully and who would need some preparation in advance beforehand, right? When he saw the “Dragon King’s daughter”, he noticed that even though her expression and physical appearance was almost exactly the same as the real one, her aura and mannerisms seemed slightly off.
When this so-called Dragon King’s daughter pressed her hand against his chest, Fang Xing knew the truth. The Dragon King’s daughter was a pure-blood dragon, and after mastering the Dao of men, half of them had become men and their descendents were born with both human and dragon forms. Whereas other beasts would need to form their human appearances through cultivation, the dragon’s human form was in all aspects exactly the same as a true human’s, including bodily structure and temperature. That hand was simply too cold—colder than could belong to a normal human.
With a little more thought, Fang Xing understood only a cold-blooded sea snake would have such a cold body temperature, and this realization caused everything to click into place. The incense inside the room actually had the additional effect of confusing cultivators and muddling their thoughts, allowing the sea-snake beast who presented herself as the Dragon King’s daughter to draw them under her complete control. The sea-snake beast would furthermore use charm spells to excite and confuse her target, making it extremely difficult to distinguish her from the real one. Most important of all was the clam beast who secretly hid in the dark and sang an extremely powerful charm spell of her own. It could even be said that for the sea-snake beast to form such a realistic impression of the Dragon King’s daughter, at least half of it was only possible thanks to the clam.
Even Fang Xing had been misled at first, but once he figured everything out, he was so furious he could barely contain his rage. This was simply going too far! He’d clearly used his own ability to win the Red Order, yet she got some kind of fake to swindle him. Was she saying this mighty Uncle Fang wasn’t handsome enough for her? Was she saying she’d only sleep with those pretty-boys outside?
After being forced to show her true self, the sea-snake beast was also filled with anger and yelled nonstop. “Let me go!”
“Let you go?” Fang Xing jumped on her with even greater anger than hers. “Do you think I won’t f*cking eat you? How dare you cheat me with a fake!”
The sea-snake beast was born to prefer those who were very handsome. She didn’t enjoy Fang Xing’s appearance in the first place, and she was even more furious after being scolded with such contempt. Her expression shifted in an instant to one that was extremely cold and terrifying as she seethed out, “Little livestock, it would have been fine if you pretended not to know, but you just had to be such a little smart*ss. Let me ask you: have you heard the two possible outcomes from sleeping with the Dragon King’s daughter?”
Fang Xing gave it a quick thought before understanding exactly what she wanted to say. The Dragon King’s daughter was incredibly promiscuous, and such a fact was so well-known by all the surrounding seas and islands to the point even non-cultivators were aware of it. It was said the people chosen by the Dragon King’s daughter would have two possible outcomes: they would either be gifted with jewels and be kindly sent away, or they would be swallowed by the Dragon King’s daughter. As to be expected, the sea-snake beast began to threaten, “Those who were swallowed were all little smart*sses like you!”
“I’m a smart*ss? You’re the one who f*cking gave me a fake, and now you’re telling me I can’t even complain about it?” Fang Xing indignantly replied, his fury rising even higher. “I’ll discuss it with that bi*ch!” He took out a Hibernation Pellet and forcibly jammed it into the sea-snake beast’s mouth before forcing the clam beast to take one as well. Once both beasts were shoved into his storage sack, Fang Xing prepared to go reason with the Dragon King’s daughter using these two as witnesses.
Fang Xing looked like a drunkard who was about to pick a fight after realizing he’d been cheated by a brothel, but his head began to clear a bit once he walked outside the door. ‘No, no, I can’t beat her….’ He was still a bit muddled due to the incense in the room, but his basic reasoning still hadn’t left him and he didn’t want to agitate someone he couldn’t defeat.
Fang Xing left the Dragon King daughter’s bedroom and walked through the darkness of the hallway for an unknown period of time. Some restrictive spells had actually been set up, but no one stood guard and these spells weren’t difficult for Fang Xing to deal with without triggering them. By the time his head had cleared, he’d arrived at the hallway with the side hall where he could hear soft laughter and breaths.
‘Dammit, everyone else is having so much fun while only I get a fake! That dragon girl’s act is intolerable!’ Fang Xing looked at the rooms on both sides of the hall and could feel his anger rise once more. The rooms were filled with the Red Convention’s guests who’d chosen a room and a sea beast or maid to enjoy a night of pleasure; by comparison, this lone unkempt silhouette holding a storage sack while looking for an argument appeared extremely pitiful. ‘No, I’m not happy at all, so I can’t let all of you be happy, either….”
Fang Xing’s anger had remained bottled up with nowhere to vent, so dark thoughts naturally began to rise. He returned to the end of the hallway, and when he looked inside the rather lavishly-decorated room nearby, he saw the person moaning inside was none other than the second fairy of the northern mountains, Biyan. She was currently enjoying the company of a rather handsome male cultivator, and all the dark thoughts in Fang Xing’s mind mixed with his envy. The lotus girl had taught him a technique earlier, so what better time to use it than now? After secretly using the black Sword Embryo’s unnamed technique to cover up his aura and presence, he avoided all the restrictive spells at the door and quietly sneaked inside.
Biyan was glued to that male cultivator and enjoying the pleasure of mankind—the Yin and Yang of life. Just as they reached the peak of their heat, however, they suddenly felt the presence of someone else in front of their bed, causing them to frightfully shout, “Who’s there?”
A muffled voice called back from a black shadow, “It’s a robbery!”
……
……
“Rob—” Fairy Biyan had intended to curse at a time like this— ‘Rob your sister dammit, who the hell comes to rob at a place like this?’ —but the other person was extremely fast; Biyan wasn’t even been able to react before a great force of Qi swept forward and suppressed the two, preventing them from moving. The person quickly performed an extremely profound hand seal within a third of a breath before sending his palm towards Fairy Biyan and the male cultivator’s foreheads.
Two loud pah sounds could be heard before the palm was retracted, and both Biyan and the male cultivator—who hadn’t yet managed to come down from his sweet battle—felt as though someone was messing around inside their bodies at the same time, as though the raging inferno they’d felt before was splashed with a bucket of water and completely smothered. The two fell unconscious in their confusion, but before Fairy Biyan fell asleep, she vaguely saw the silhouette in front of their bed take out a dainty green lantern and send two flames inside. The chuckle he let out before leaving also sounded extremely familiar.
Fang Xing quietly left the room with the green-flamed lantern in hand and made his way to the second room. The lantern he was holding was a kind of container he’d obtained from the Mysterious Domain in exchange for a Sword Embryo. Its grade was high enough for it to hold powers without shape or physical form, and in a sense it was similar to a cultivator’s Sea of Consciousness in that it allowed some immaterial powers and forces to be temporarily placed inside.
The flame he’d taken from the bodies of Fairy Biyan and the male cultivator were the last flames of the True Samadhi Fire—the Flame of Desire. Such mysterious methods had been revealed by the lotus girl, and she’d also explained it was an extremely high-level technique but also very damaging. This technique was powerful enough to draw away the primitive fires found within a person’s body, although the timing was rather specific—the flame would typically only appear during the moment of greatest passion.
Fang Xing had originally intended to sacrifice his own beauty to take the flame after fooling either the dragon girl or the three fairies, but the dragon girl had toyed with him and he was left without other options, so he could only risk some danger to rob a few places instead. Fortunately, he’d studied his unnamed technique to the point he’d become like a ghostly shadow whenever he used a spell to hide his breathing; it was already difficult for anyone to sense him, and his job was made even easier by the fact the cultivators were at a point where they couldn’t afford to be distracted.
There naturally wasn’t a shortage of formations and restrictions within the Colored Glass Palace, but most of them hadn’t been activated so the cultivators could walk freely between the main hall and side hall. This had inadvertently given Fang Xing an advantage, as though this was nothing more than a city without walls.
Fang Xing robbed from one side of the hallway to the other. The flame within his lantern became brighter and brighter with every room he left, and the rooms that had once been filled with lewd laughter and moaning became as still and silent as death itself. The worst part would come after, however; since all of their Flames of Desire had been taken away, they would wake up to discover they no longer had any interest in the matters between a man and a woman.
This was where the technique was most damaging. Taking their Flames of Desire would put a stop to all intimate thoughts and it would require at least three years of recuperation for their bodies and souls to gradually return to normal. There weren’t many visible symptoms for female cultivators aside from a lack of interest in love-making during the period of recovery, but male cultivators experienced far more troublesome effects preventing them from making love. To put it straightforwardly, anywhere the little bandit passed… was filled with impotence!
