Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Robbery?
The zombies on the third floor weren’t numerous, so the three of them didn’t spend much effort to clear them out.
The living supplies area was full of clothing, towels, underwear, mother and baby products, as well as toiletries. As soon as Su Jin and Guo Yang arrived, they began to quickly gather items. Even if they didn’t collect them, no one else would.
Now that the power supply system was damaged, there was no need to worry about surveillance, and even if they were caught on camera, it would just seem like a Space Element Ability User was gathering supplies, so no one would suspect the Wood Spirit Space. All Lu Hao needed to do was keep an eye on the blind spots behind the shelves to prevent any zombies from popping up suddenly.
Guo Yang headed to the mother and baby products area and, upon seeing some baby supplies and formula, chuckled twice before starting to take some diapers, formula, and children’s clothing.
Su Jin asked in confusion, “Why are you collecting these?”
“For the future of me and Fanfan, hehe, little sister, you should take some too,” Guo Yang persuaded.
“Got them already,” Lu Hao said, taking hold of Su Jin’s wrist.
Su Jin: …
What on earth were these two men thinking every day.
With no choice, Su Jin ended up taking all the remaining mother and baby products. At the end, she left a few packs of diapers and formula on the shelves, just in case a mother came looking.
Lu Hao didn’t stop her and continued to keep watch for them.
The grandparents in the Space watched the buckets of formula and diapers rain down from above, grinning ear to ear. This was good; they looked forward to playing with their great-grandchildren in the Space in the future.
After collecting the mother and baby products, Guo Yang began to take some skincare products. This brand was good; he wanted to take a set back for Fanfan to keep her skin moisturized.
Watching Guo Yang with a face full of bliss, Su Jin wore a helpless expression. Men in love really were foolishly adorable.
Soon, Su Jin and Guo Yang had scoured the third floor quite thoroughly and decided to head back down to the second floor for another look.
Unexpectedly, some of those people from earlier were already preparing to make camp in the supermarket. They figured since there was food and drink available, they might as well stay there, especially since the zombies had already been cleared out.
Seeing the trio descend, those people eyed them warily.
“Take some and get going quickly!”
A middle-aged woman said. She wasn’t too worried since these three people didn’t even have backpacks; they couldn’t take much even if they wanted to.
“Exactly, exactly, you folks are so capable, you can find your own food, don’t compete with us!” a student-looking boy chimed in.
Su Jin stared at them coldly. Just because they were strong, did that mean they had to make way for these people?
However, the trio didn’t waste words with them. Su Jin and Guo Yang moved to the blind spot inside the shelves, taking some biscuits and water. To avoid suspicion, they held a few packets in their hands, covering up the act of gathering items.
Su Jin gave Guo Yang a look, and they only took items from the very back layer of the shelves, so those people weren’t likely to notice.
By the time they reached the frozen food section, those people stopped looking because those items were no good to them anyway.
Su Jin looked at the melted ice cream with regret and shook her head, but fortunately, the frozen dumplings and tangyuan still seemed worth keeping. She reached out and collected some into her Space.
The people in the supermarket breathed a sigh of relief because these three only seemed to have taken a few packets of biscuits. Especially that bespectacled man, who only grabbed two bottles of water — what a fool.
Guo Yang didn’t know that he had been thought of as a fool by those people. When he left, he was excited, relishing the thrill of successful thievery he had never experienced before.
…
When they got home, Su Jin got out of the car and shook her head at the sight of the wrecked vehicle, realizing they couldn’t use ordinary cars like this when setting off tomorrow.
As soon as Guo Yang stepped through the door, he excitedly called out for Fanfan to show off his loot. Liao Yifan resisted the urge to punch him and ignored him, turning back to continue teaching Qiqi martial arts.
While everyone was busy, Su Jin and Lu Hao sneaked into the Space from their room and, unsurprisingly, landed on a pile of diapers…
“This…”
Su Jin laughed awkwardly.
“Just leave them for later use,”
Lu Hao couldn’t help but smile as well. He was once again reminded of the advantages of the Space; they wouldn’t have to worry about diapers and formula even if they had a baby in the future. It seemed he needed to work even harder.
Su Jin organized the items and moved them to the Lu Residence’s warehouse, and those ten SUVs were also moved into the parking facility within the Space.
The pair unexpectedly found Uncle Lin Cheng in the Spirit Field too. Ever since Lin Cheng had awakened his Earth Element Ability, he often practiced in the Space, and he also helped Grandpa Lin Yunguo, using the husking and flour milling machines Su Jin had previously stockpiled at the trade show, to harvest the mature wheat.
When Su Jin and Lu Hao arrived, the grandparents were delighted. Lin Yunguo had even steamed a lot of white buns using Space-grown wheat flour, round and white, exuding a tempting aroma.
“Grandpa, these buns even have a hint of milk flavor; they are delicious,” Su Jin said after tasting one.
“That’s because I added some milk from that dairy cow, how is it? Tasty?”
“It’s extremely tasty, you should try it too,” Su Jin took another bite, offering one to Lu Hao, who devoured it in one go. Su Jin suddenly felt like she was feeding a large pet dog…
However, the food produced in the Space seemed to contain Spiritual Power, and both felt much more comfortable in body and mind after eating it.
