Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Did I Disturb You?
Clark Stone slowly untied the coarse rope from Abigail Green’s hands.
He had thought that this fat woman would assume airs for a long time. But in the end, she was just like this. Did she really think that working as a nanny for the Piers family made her noble?
Ridiculous.
Furthermore, Clark was very confident. He knew how obsessed this fat woman had been with him back then.
Now, as long as he showed a bit of kindness, she’d still be at his mercy.
His peripheral vision glanced at the direction of the camera, and he smirked with pride. “You didn’t drink anything earlier. Why don’t you have a drink with me to amuse ourselves?”
“Alright.” Abigail looked at the opened red wine on the bedside tray and smiled innocently.
Clark became even more smug. Rather than forcing himself on a fat woman, he preferred those who came willingly. It was much more convincing. While he spoke, the coarse rope was untied. “Done.”
Slap!
As soon as Clark finished saying those words, a solid slap landed on his face.
Clark was stunned by the slap.
His face turned red and swollen at a pace visible to the naked eye. Filled with anger, he dropped the pretense. “You stupid bitch, how dare you hit me? Are you tired of living?”
He reached out to grab Abigail’s hair, but his hand suddenly went numb, and soon, his whole body felt numb. No strength at all to move.
Clark opened his mouth. “What did you do to me?”
Slap!
Abigail, still unsatisfied, gave Clark another slap.
“Bitch, I’ll kill you!” But before he could pounce on Abigail, Clark fell straight to the ground.
Abigail picked up the rope that had just been untied, grabbed Clark’s hair, dragged him to the chair nearby, tied his hands behind the chair legs with a dead knot, got up, picked up the bedside red wine, sniffed it, and then pinched open Clark’s mouth to pour it in.
Clark struggled desperately, his eyes turning scarlet with anger and humiliation.
He could never have imagined that the fat and ugly woman, who was once so obsessed with him that she had no dignity, would dare treat him like this after gaining a hundred pounds.
The humiliation and anger drove Clark to struggle frantically. The red wine splashed everywhere, creating a chaotic scene.
“Really not honest.” Abigail muttered, grabbing the nearby bottle and smashing it down.
Thud!
Bang!
Just as Abigail hit Clark on the head, the door of the hotel room was kicked open.
“Damn.” Abigail cursed inwardly, hurrying to shield Clark, but she met Brandon Piers’s furious face. Pullan, who had clearly kicked the door, stood respectfully by his side.
Brandon saw Abigail’s disheveled hair and slightly open shirt collar. Yet the first thing he did upon entering was defend that Master Stone, making his expression even grimmer.
“Did I interrupt you?” Brandon suppressed the inexplicable anger in his heart. His voice was clear and controlled.
He shouldn’t have come to care about this fat woman, worrying that she might be messed with.
“This…” On that extraordinarily handsome face, there wasn’t a trace of emotion, but Abigail could feel that the man in front of her was furious. Seeing Pullan’s stance, she understood she mustn’t say the wrong thing. “Shouldn’t be.”
Yet, she couldn’t help but wonder how Brandon knew something happened to her. Did he come to rescue her with Pullan?
Thinking of this, her heart inexplicably warmed.
She had been reborn into Abigail Green’s body and had encountered so much malice. But the man who should have looked down on her the most kept helping her.
Brandon thought bitterly. At least her brain wasn’t completely broken. But seeing her protective stance over Clark Stone, his face still darkened. “Step aside.”
Abigail secretly swallowed and thought of Clark behind her. She didn’t move.
