Chapter 140: They Started Arguing
Gu Chu remembered that on the day they broke the contract, the bastard had even asked his secretary to bring her lunch?
Now that she thought about it, it felt like he was giving her a sweet after slapping her.
CEO Feng was indeed CEO Feng. Even if he was found out, he still didn’t feel guilty.
His tone was calm. “He casually gave you a big project. When you encounter a problem, your first reaction is to look for him. I’m not that magnanimous. I can’t just let you go alone with him.”
“Since you’re not willing to hand this job over to others, I used my own methods to keep you here. I won’t let you go out with him.”
What kind of f * cking logic was that?
He even said it with such confidence!
Gu Chu’s heart started to burn with anger. “What do you mean by going out alone with him? We’re going with a team. Besides, we’re not going on vacation, we’re going to work. What are you thinking about?”
This was outrageous!
Gu Chu threw the document at him. “We’ve known each other for more than ten years before we got together. If there really is something going on, do you think I’d still be here with you?”
The document hit Feng Jia’s chest and fell to the ground. He did not pick it up.
Gu Chu scolded again, “I’ve played with Lu Shen, Meng Lang, and Wang Xiao, who are friends of the opposite sex. You’re so controlling, so I can’t see them as well?”
“That’s not the same thing.”
“How is it not the same?”
Feng Jia’s voice was cold. “They’re just friends with you, but Lin Yu has improper thoughts about you.”
Gu Chu wanted to hit him. “You’re talking nonsense!”
“How many times do I have to tell you? He and I are just friends. At most, we’re brother and sister. When have you ever seen us do anything inappropriate?”
Feng Jia: “You treat him as a normal friend. He might not treat you as his sister.”
Gu Chu was really angry.
What a bastard!
He had created such a big problem for Gu Corporation because of jealousy. He did not even consider what kind of crisis they would fall into if they did not find a supplier.
Forget it, if they really could not find a solution, they could just lower their heads and beg Meiyang to renew the contract. At worst, they could compromise and be ridiculed by others.
However, what Gu Chu was most angry about was Feng Jia’s unreasonable attitude.
So, she did not even have the right to have a friend?
Gu Chu could not communicate with him anymore. The trip to the capital was decided before they quarreled. Now she wanted to go even more to anger him!
“Let me tell you then. This time, I’m going to the capital with him. If you don’t like it, feel free to come and cause trouble.”
She turned around and returned to the lounge. She swept all her belongings into her bag and was ready to leave.
Feng Jia followed her in. He grabbed her arm and wanted to hold her back. Gu Chu struggled and elbowed him.
He blocked and hugged her and lowered his voice. “If you care so much about my relationship with Gu Wan, you should know how much I care about your relationship with Lin Yu.”
“They are not comparable!”
Gu Chu was a little annoyed. “Gu Wan is in the rumors. You can ask Meng Lang and the others, do they think there’s something going on between me and Lin Yu? Stop changing the topic. Have I ever ruined your work?”
Feng Jia lowered his eyes. “Men are better at judging other men.”
Gu Chu really did not like to be controlled. She gritted her teeth and pushed him away. “Get out of the way!”
Feng Jia loosened his grip, and she was free.
She sneered. “Indeed. There’s a difference in the way we think. Perhaps your brain is not quite the same as mine.”
Since he didn’t realize his mistake, then it would be futile for them to continue arguing.
She rolled her eyes at him. “Think about it.”
With that, she grabbed her bag and left.
Feng Jia’s brows were tightly knitted.
Gu Chu left the Feng Corporation. Before she could think of where to go, she received a call from her secretary. “Director, there’s a document that needs your signature. Tell me your current address and I’ll send it over in a flash.”
“No need. I’ll go to the company now.” After Gu Chu hung up, she went straight to the Gu Corporation.
Before she entered the Commerce Department, she bumped into her father, who she had been trying to avoid all this time.
She couldn’t hide forever.
